Lincoln-Douglas Debates

The Tinsley Project

Coming soon:  Build Your Own Lincoln Sites is a fun new web tool that will let you build HO scale cardboard models of 10 actual historic buildings associated with Abraham Lincoln.

In honor of the Bicentennial of Lincoln's birth you will be able to download these models (for free), print on your own cardstock, and cut out and assemble this new series of 10 Illinois Historic Lincoln Site models.  These models are funded by a grant from the Illinois Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission to the Old State Capitol Foundation.

The buildings will include the Old State Capitol, Lincoln Tomb, Great Western Station, and Lincoln Home all in Springfield, the Berry-Lincoln Store at New Salem, the Vandalia Statehouse in Vandalia, Beecher Hall at Illinois College, Old Main at Knox College, Shastid Cabin in Pittsfield, and the Thomas Lincoln Home at the Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site.

Until Build Your Own Lincoln Sites debuts this month you can go right now to www.BuildYourOwnMainStreet.org and download the Tinsley Store where Abraham Lincoln had his law offices. Check back here at www.Lincoln200.net for the Build Your Own Lincoln Sites models and monthly throughout the year until all ten models debut, and have fun!
